ERRIGO URGES GROUPS TO APPLY FOR ARTS PROGRAM FUNDING

Assemblyman Joseph Errigo (R,C,-Conesus) today noted that the National Endowment for the Arts will be awarding matching grants for its Summer Schools in the Arts program. Organizations seeking to participate must file statements of interest by May 23.

According to Errigo, the program supports rigorous, challenging summer arts education programs that enable children to acquire knowledge and skills in the arts as well as spark a lifelong interest in cultural activities.

"These grants will enable children to seek and fulfill their artistic goals," Errigo said. "I encourage all those who are interested to send in their statement of interest forms today."

Errigo stated that the organization anticipates awarding less than 50 grants in amounts ranging from $15,000 to $35,000. Participants are required to match the grant amount from their fund sources.

Statements of interest may be filed via the organization's Web site at www.grants.gov by using the following information:

CDFA Number: 45.024

Federal Opportunity Number: NEA-SS-2006

More program information is available by contacting the National Endowment for the Arts at (202) 682-5438, via e-mail at webmgr@arts.endow.gov, or by visiting the Web site www.arts.gov/grants/apply/SummerSchools.html.
