ERRIGO URGES GROUPS TO APPLY FOR ARTS PROGRAM FUNDING
Assemblyman Joseph Errigo (R,C,-Conesus)
today noted that the National Endowment for the Arts will be awarding
matching grants for its Summer Schools in the Arts program. Organizations
seeking to participate must file statements of interest by May 23.
According to Errigo, the program supports rigorous,
challenging summer arts education programs that enable children to acquire
knowledge and skills in the arts as well as spark a lifelong interest in
cultural activities.
"These grants will enable children to seek and fulfill
their artistic goals," Errigo said. "I encourage all those who are
interested to send in their statement of interest forms today."
Errigo stated that the organization anticipates
awarding less than 50 grants in amounts ranging from $15,000 to $35,000.
Participants are required to match the grant amount from their fund sources.
