ERRIGO AND RED CROSS TEAM-UP FOR BLOOD DRIVE Assemblyman Joseph A. Errigo (R,C
– Conesus) is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on July 30th,
2004 from 1:00-6:00 PM at the Henrietta Town Hall. Red Cross collections
fell short in June and the region once again faces a blood shortage for the
summer months. “July and August are months when donations are at their
lowest but needs are at their highest. Every two seconds someone in America
needs blood. This call for help often does not hit home until yourself or a
loved-one is in that situation,” said Assemblyman Errigo. The drive will be held in
Meeting Room A of the Henrietta Town Hall located on Calkins Road. Walk-ins
are always welcome but appointments are suggested. Individuals wishing to
schedule a donation appointment can contact the Red Cross at 1-800-448-3543 Individuals wishing to donate
should be in good health, at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110
pounds and should not have donated in the past two months. “Health facilities indicate
that a 5-7 day supply of blood is needed to adequately meet patient needs
and respond to disasters. The blood inventory level in this area often
hovers around a 1 ˝ day supply. Come donate, bring your family, bring your
friends and help save a life in your community,” noted Assemblyman Errigo. For more information contact
the American Red Cross at the aforementioned 800 number or contact
Assemblyman Errigo’s district office at (585) 334-5210. Assemblyman
Errigo’s website is located at
