Dear Editor:

Many of us are aware of individuals and groups within communities that give their all on behalf of others. One such person is Livingston County resident, Cindy Panipinto.

Since mid-February Cindy, has assembled goodies and gifts into "care" packages for our troops serving in Iraq. Cindy's packages are theme based, with the most recent theme designed as a "Fun in the Sun" package, which included items such as sunscreen and fun items like Frisbees.

As a former Marine, I know these packages can lift the spirits of our troops so far from home, and the personal touches that Cindy puts into these packages provide value added significance to our troops.

I whole-heartedly support Cindy's efforts. Recently, I have come to understand that Cindy needs our assistance to continue her efforts. Therefore, I am asking our residents and businesses to offer their support to this worthwhile effort.

Donations for Cindy's project are appreciated. Checks can be made payable to the "Soldiers Fund," and dropped off or mailed to the Lakeville branch of Wyoming County Bank at 3261 Rochester Road, Lakeville, NY 14480. Questions or comments can be mailed to Cindy Panipinto, 4486 Main St. Hemlock, NY 14466.

I hope you will join me in supporting Cindy's efforts to bring a bit of home to our troops.

Sincerely,

Joseph A. Errigo
